Have a ip Office 2 lines with (1) 1416 and (2) 1408 sets. my question is what the best and least expensive cordless for this system . Can I use a single line cordless. (Card is 6X2X4) or do I have to go with one of Avaya sets. This is a restaurant. Thanks Tony

Any cordless phone will work in the analog station port. What mode is the system running?

Yes, you could use normal cordless phone on analog station port if it has.
Otherwise, you will need VCM card for Avaya cordless phone.

Sounds like he has a combo card which has 10 VCM channels. But I would stick with an analog phone. Cordless phones are Avaya's weak spot in my opinion.

In Basic mode there are some quirks on single line extensions, depending on if they are connected to ETR cards or Combo cards. Things like not being able to ring on incoming calls unless directed to a group, so be careful on the intended use of the cordless and what it is connected to.

I believe in R9, you can have ringing on incoming calls on an analog station port.
