We're setting up a call recording system on a 7200S V 4.75
One of the requirements is to provide SMDR info to the call recording PC.
Both the PC and the phone system are on the same internal network.
We've set up data from port 5100 to go to the PC. However, when we attempt to connect to port 5100 using HyperTerminal from the PC, we get a quick connect then disconnect. Port 5102 works fine using HyperTerminal, but port 5100 does not.
Anyone have a solution out there ?
Thanks

Management IP whitelist put the subnet in (x.x.x.255) then try again

Got tied up on some other issues.
The IP ending in .255 is in the whitelist.
Still getting the connect / disconnect when trying to hook up using HyperTerminal on port 5100.
It's a real hassle.

We've replaced the MP card. We've defaulted the system and only programmed the stuff necessary for SMDR.
We've pretty much done everything I can see to program in the system.
No joy.

Been doing a few of these recently. Apart from what nameless has said about whitelist in management, the only thing setup to connect was in 5.6.2 Printer destination changed to PC and the printer TCP port changed to 5100. And update to lan card.

When your pc is *not* connected check the status in MMC829 does it show connected?
Also have a look in DM 5.2.21 (access information, there is no MMC code for this) any errors todo with whitelists appear here.

Some versions were pretty buggy with the destination in 5.6.2, you had to keep switching it back and forth and saving until it stuck. When we had our in house running 4.6x you also had to have the CTI IP in 5.6.1 of the PC listening on 5100.
