I am about to add a card to a cs200.
it currently has 60 or so digital 4 digit extensions.
will it auto recognize the card and number the new extensions accordingly?
I have never added to an existing system but have had several cs200 i have broke in on the test bench before installing.
Anything i should or should not do.
power down system add cs card and re apply power.

1. Connect to system and pull programming
2. Power off system
3. Add card
4. Power on
5. When system come up the whole way look at extensions and you should see the new card extension already numbered.

BUT. depending on the card Type, it may make a mess of your Line Programming, Best thing is at least connect to the system so you Know what it looked like Before you install the new card. Also, depending on software you are running, If the phones were set for Ring on intercom, adding the new card will change them all back to Handsfree ( prog 3-5-0 )

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

It is going to be a CS d12.
No line card. they have a PRI.
I will for sure connect to it before and look at programming.
I might have to do some change DN's also

Remember, the system has to be idle for the number changes to take. I suggest doing this after hours on a quiet system.
