Don't see the option to set flex buttons to dial direct outside numbers on the 4024-00 24 button phones. Is this possible?

Yes if you program speed dial bin, then press trans/pgm then flex button to be programmed and press speed plus bin number and hold/save.

Great that worked! Now, whats involved in making the flex button automatically grab an available CO line and dial it?

Put a 9 in front of speed dial number when programming speed dial bin.

Cant get that working...maybe different firmware? (using 4.0Ad)

Speed dial and redial will not work if any inactive lines are in group 1, you have to take them out. The 9 is not necessary.
