Hi All,
Is it possible to use the 400G line card KTU with MJ or Vonage?
Thank you much,
Best,
Joe

Yes. Anything over and including 400D issue 15 will work.

Rokumoncat: In my experience, 400G linecard will work with MagicJack but if things are flaky, a 400H works better. I speculate it's the wider voltage tolerances in the solid state 400H that make it friendlier with MJ. A Vonage ATA should work with later 400D and 400G+ cards just fine.

The key here is that the ringing voltage on the CO input to the card must be presented across tip and ring, not from the ring side to ground as older versions of the 400D did. Newer gadgets don't have a reference to ground, so they send it across tip and ring. WE's 400G and H are fail safes, but ITT's 400E and any from San/Bar or Teltronics (Brand/Rex) will be fine as well.
The 400G was a prettier version of the 400D. The 400H had a mind of its own and thought that it owned you, but I will say that it looked nicer in a rack. I was never a big fan of the 400H, since testing by listening for relay clicks made troubleshooting in large equipment installations a bit easier with earlier versions. That silent, solid-state functionality of the 400H made me feel as if I was trying to work with a cat and get it to cooperate at bath time.

I had some 400H cards in my setup, and I ended up tearing them out. They were really flaky. Sometimes the call would go on hold, sometimes not. I didn't like them, and I came into a pile of ITT K400E cards. They have jumpers to set the type of ringing, and they work really well. I have some early issue 400D cards I modified for bridged ringing, and those work equally well. All my "phone lines" are some sort of VOIP. One from Comcast, one off my OOMA, and the rest are various SIP ATA's hooked to C*Net. All play very well with my 1A2.
