Has anyone out here have any of these 5343's working remotely via the wireless. I have a customer who has a ATT UVERSE NVG589 router. I have opened all of the usual ports and my remote phone will not connect via wireless. It does connect when plugged directly into the remote router but not wireless. Keep getting "System Server not responding". To me this would indicate a port not being opened. But I do have ports 6000, 9000 and 8000 all udp pointed to the mp20s. System is a 7200s v4.82. Just as a side note - I can connect this phone to my 7100 remotely. My 7100 has v4.70.

I believe i had seen something about using these phones over wifi that it has to have TCP ports rather than UDP to the system i will see if i can find the paper they put online stating this.

Thats the quote from the bulletin.
"The SMT-i5343 uses TCP and not UDP as its communication protocol with the OfficeServ, as such there are some limitations on the maximum number of devices that can be connected when used in Wi-Fi mode."
The i5343 uses x3 IP Phone ports wen used in Wi-Fi mode. This means that you need to consider the maximum number of IP phone ports on each system. An example configuration would be: OS7030 If you have x5 SMTi-5343 phones in Wi-Fi mode, the number of IP phones you can have is effectively at maximum, as you would be using x15 IP ports. If the x5 SMT-i5343 phones were in fixed wired mode in the above configuration, you could still have a further x11 wired IP phones on the system. The i5343 in wired mode only uses x1 IP port.

Scorpion,
Thanks that was it. I really appreciate it. I didn't see that in any of my docs.
