I'm from a Vodavi world and don't get much of a call for Panasonic but I just acquired an account that wanted a Dect cordless phone set up on their TDA50. I purchased the 2 channel base and the corresponding cordless phone. They have the ports available but I'm having issues with mating the Dect Cordless base. I have it hooked up to a valid super port, the status light on the base eventually turns green but I need to mate the phone to the cell base . I keep getting stuck at this point. It wont mate when I press the cordless phone button for a few seconds.
I think I need to program the system to see the base. I have a display phone available but they didn't install them with station100 to be a phone on the system. I think it starts at 108 up to 115. And the base of the cordless access point has a dip switch bank underneath which I assume is for addressing multiple base sets.
Do I have to be at station 100 to get into programming? Can I program using the RS232 port without using proprietary software? Vodavi allows direct rs232 as well as phone programming.
The programming manuals I found online don't explain things to clearly when trying to hook up the Dect phones or base.
Do I have to get into TDA50 programming to mate the phone to base? If I do, which section do I reference? When that mates, does the phone extension take on the port number the base is plugged into? I think I can figure out button programming once into programming assuming defaults on passwords.
Tip and ring, the work of the devil!

TO155 needs to be v4. MPR needs to be v3 or above. Have to pgm PBX and phone. I think you need the console, thats the only way I have done this.
