Comdial DXP+ 16A.
Calling a station using the switchboard and extension. After dialing extension number caller hears silence for a while and then the vm picks up. If calling the direct dial number for that station the caller will hear it ring before the vm picks up. I've checked the settings with another station I know to work correctly and the settings are identical. How can I get the ringing so when dialing the main number and extension so the caller doesn't think the system hung up? Thanks!

comdial doesn't send any ringing tone on a transferred call from the outside- usually, it will play whatever is programmed for Music on hold...

Hi,
That's not quite true. On the DXP you could set ringing on transfer calls. MAke sure in mailbox the transfer type is blind.
If that doesn't do it you will need a Comdial local tech to help you

Transfer to blind did the trick. Not sure why I didn't check that when I created and set up the mailbox. Oversight. Thanks!

On the FXII anyway you can pick from 4 options... silence (bad option IMHO), Tone (which is a periodic double beep), and the 2 Hold Music inputs. It gets assigned to the CO Line.
