Do any of the small NEC systems offer remote monitoring? Client wishes to listen-in on sales calls from off-site (Sales office is located in another town than the HQ). Client claims to have a quote from another vendor offering an NEC system that will accomplish this using analog lines. My only experience with NEC is the DSX-40.

I think the S:1100 can using a remote ip phone.

Check w NEC about using ip phone, I do it local, have not tried remote.

COS shows it allows DISA barge in, COS also sets live barge or silent barge.

Nothing with analog trunks? Client insists the competition is quoting something with analog. I think they may be confused.

All they are quoting is silent station monitoring with a remote IP set. Fairly standard feature on a lot of systems.

System does not care about trunks.

So you should be able to do it with disa and a slt remote or an IP set.

Be a lot easier if sales were using slt and you had a Melco, just RAD in to the Melco.

I had the client send me the competing quote (pricing redacted). They are in fact providing an NEC SL1100 w/IP daughterboard and a 24-button IP phone.
