I have several of these phones working remotely on this switch. My customer had an employee quit so they shipped the phone to the new employee. The phone is working except I cannot program the buttons, either thru telephone administration or the ADMIN PC program. She can make and receive calls, but I need to program some "park", DSS, and a couple feature buttons. I've tried to find an XTS version of the user manual on-line so that I could have her try to program the buttons. There isn't a "Speed" key on the 8024 phones.

The hard headset button on the 8024 works like the speed key. There is no xts version manual or printed information for this phone.
It programs remotely thru admin the same as the 7024 ip phone with the buttons in columns. Be aware though that way the buttons are visually arranged on the phone can cause some "translation" issues as to what button number it really is when you ask the user what feature needs to go on which button.

Derrick, thank you for the speed key tip. Would you have any idea why even though my programming (via telephone administration or PC Admin) shows the buttons are programmed the way they need to be but they still aren't usable to the end user? I'm thinking maybe I'll just do a system reset.

Are you sure you are programming the correct extension number? Remember to use the flex number in pgm 51 programming and make sure the phone is identified correctly. Also when programming a feature onto a key thru admin the procedure is button number then 4 then feature or extension number. Loops are 89

Yep, it is the correct extension number. Very strange.

If you see the features on the buttons but the user can't use them, then the user is using the wrong buttons. The 8024 button arrangement is very confusing as to which button is which number as I said.
