I never had a problem with the Page port on a STS before. On most systems I put my test set leads on the pa out, dial the access # and I can hear the cut through, or put my tone on the pa out and when I access the Ext. Pa # I can hear my tone. I haven't been able to do that with the System in Trouble or my Bench test system. Has anyone tried this? What complicates this is the KSU and the Page Amp. are separated.

Page port relays do fail especially when they are old. Its a bit hard to test the port directly without being attached to some kind of amp. It puts out 5 milliwatts when accessed and 0 when idle, so maybe you can read it with a volt/ohm meter.

Thank you Derrick. I had my loop current test set ITC 3004 right here, it reads ma but it has a tone and I'm getting tone back through the access phone on my test bench system. I'll take that on premise and test it. I think pwr./lightning radiated from the spkr. wiring and I have multiple problems. Have you ever tried to make it trunk acc. w/o a TAM?

Trunk access works if the page control unit has that ability. If not, the impedance will not match...page ports are 600 ohms.
