I am trying to create a plain mailbox that our employees can call in and leave a message for others to dial from any keyset and check. I made an unassociated mailbox with a 4-digit number that doesn't go with our current numbering scheme, but obviously without any pointers from the system I can't leave a message on it (it is initialized and I can check messages on it). I have searched my face off on the forums here but can't find where anyone has tried to accomplish this before. I *could* just give up an extension and have it ring 1 time and then go to VM, but this seems like a waste of setup and a keyset when all I want is the voice mailbox.
I am on program version 6.009 and system version 6.006.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

You need to create a Call Routing Announcement and remove the Day and Night Greetings. In the digit translations have it timeout to the mailbox you created. You can then aim a DID or whatever you like at that Call Routing Announcement.
