we have 2 lines into our system
-701 - main number
-702 - additional number
when we press 9 to get a line the system always gives us 702 first instead of 701.
is there anyway to set 701 as the preferred line when both lines are idle?

That is "normal" The way to change it is to reassign the trunks in the trunk groups.But one of the reasons for doing it this way is your calls come in at 701 then probably roll if 701 is busy to 702.
You dial out on 702 and if 702 is busy then 701 is selected.What this does is lessens the chance of you picking up 701 for an outbound call as an inbound call arrives at the same time and you actually end up answering the inbound caller. I'm sure at some point you've had this happen right?
