I'm upgrading my home intercom to a panasonic kx-t61610. I currently have a Viking ring down box running through both pairs in the house and to lines 3 and 4 of my WE 551B. I want to use 2 extensions from the panisonic with line 3 and 4 with the new set up. Will the panisonic ring my system? I have several 400c (issue 15), ITT 400E and WE 400H cards to choose from. Thanks in advance!

Probably 400D cards with version 15 or later will work. SanBar 400F will work. Since it's just a few wires to hook up, why not try it out temporarily and let us know what happens?

Works great. I wasn't sure if the odd ring cadence would effect anything.

If you had asked that question first, you could have saved yourself a trip to the test-lead drawer. Most ring-up circuits are designed, as least theoretically, to respond to the first half-cycle of ringing, (one-sixtieth of a second, in the case of 30Hz ringing) and the cadence that follows is of no consequence.

We used to install some PBXs that offered different ring cadences (A very popular option was Ring Tone American for DID calls and RT European for intra office calls). It worked fine with SL sets, but when we installed key equipment it all went out the window. Sam

I am extremely impressed by this set up. Now I need a bigger KSU to use the the rest of the extensions.
I'll probably post this on the Panasonic side also. I would like to set up the night time programing, but I'm not sure if it's worth buying a phone for $50+ just to change the default 9 to 5 day (everything else is fine). I noticed that an eBay add that said that a KX-T7730 is a replacement for the KX-T7030. The 7730 can be found for much cheaper. Will it program the 616/308?
