first, I'm not a Panasonic guy but, the request seems simple enough. Make overhead pages through the Muzac system and take music from said system to the hold of the phone system. I purchased 2 new mono to RCA cables one for each and installed all failed no music on hold no page. Thought maybe it wanted a stereo to RCA, that failed to work.
Steps taken to troubleshoot:
sent tone from mono plug at the PBX and sent the tone over all the speakers through the cable muzac system and out. re installed into the pbx in the page port, dialed 33# with no luck and 34 with no luck. I hear the beep both ways but not over the speakers just in my ear of the phone I'm paging from

On the MOH I put by butt set on the end of the cable I removed from the music port of the PBX and I can hear music, I re install it into the PBX call put it on hold and I can not hear music

Thanks in advance for any guidance ... are the switches inside related? IW as afraid of defaulting or something if I flipped them

You are using 1/8 (3.5mm) phone cables, right? The inputs and outputs on the TA-824 do not use RCA type plugs.

There are no switch settings on the KSU to control paging or music on hold, so it has to be an issue with your plugs, which should be mono.
