Customer changed providers - 6 new analog CO trunks delivered by fiber optic ONT at the site.
New lines sound great but audio levels are hot - staff complaining it's too loud. Also, now when they dial out they say the DTMF level they hear is too loud as well.
I am going to lower the audio level on the trunks by changing the value in the PAD table (actually did already, but they want it lower still). That does not seem to effect the DTMF backtone.
Looks like I can change the DTMF backtone to "padded" in 204-18.
Just wanted to get some input before I try this......not the kind of customer where I want to keep going back every day trying to get it right......
Thanks!

Try using the pad switches on the RCOU/S. It should provide a 3db padding. I usually program the CIX to not play back DTMF tones when dialing on a trunk via program 300 and 204. In 204, set the DTMF playback to "not continuous" for all DKT stations.
