HI I was wondering if anyone else that is using a Fluke, if they are getting a fail that says unknown fault. Don't know how to fix Any ideas would help We are using General cable and Hubbell jacks so its not cheap off shore stuff Thanks

I suggest you try a different tester. It sounds like an internal problem with the tester.

What are you trying to test? Cat5E, Cat6, or Cat6a? When does it give you the error message? Before, during or after the test.

HI sorry a little shy on info Testing cat 6. The run fails and that is cause on the failure

Do other runs pass? If you're only checking this run just grab a long patch cable and test it for comparison.
