Hey everyone,

Looking to see if anyone might have any ideas as to what is going on here for me. I noticed the other day that our CIX40 had locked up and I had to do a forced reboot in order to bring it back to life. I went to take a look at the logs on the system, only to find that there was no SD/SM card in the unit...

I picked up a SD card (Sandisk 8GB) and I put it into the CIX40, but when I try and format the card via eManager I get 'Operation: Normal/Forced Format' and 'Completion: Processing'. This lasts for about 10 seconds and then the completion field goes blank.

If i try to unmount I get a error "CTX Error: (0x406affff) Facility=4, Severity=0, Command=255, Error Code=106, Data=255 Failed to unount the SM/SD Media card"

I have tried the card in a PC and it is working perfectly fine, and the SD light is blinking on the CIX40. Not to sure what is going on, but any suggestions would be appreciated!

I searched the forum / google but couldn't put my hands on anything.

I believe I may have answered my own question.. Although if someone can confirm it would be great.

Turns out the default search on this site is for topics newer then a week. when I changed the timeline i found this gem.

You are correct. SD cards must be 1GB or smaller. ~ Mike

I found a illusive 1GB Sandisk SD card that I had in a old school digital camera and now it's working great. Sigh of relief I could back everything up.

You can always buy Toshiba's 1GB SD cards
