Hi there, need help on one of our clients with an SBX phone system. They have 1 SBX phone and 1 Polycom conference phone in their board room. In some cases, they wanted to put the Polycom on hold and one person would like to access the line being used for conference using the SBX phone. This way, he can talk to the other party privately while the call is on-hold on the Polycom phone.

Kindly advise what should be done to achieve this.
Thanks again and regards,
sonny

I don't think you can do exactly what you want to do...if you put a call on hold MOH will play and if someone overrides the line with an SBX phone (and with a polycom you won't know which line that is) then both parties will hear music.

You could use call park. The polycom hits the hookswitch then dials a parking locaciont 601-608 and then a button on the SBX phone can have the park programmed ue park 601 lights up and the call can be accessed and then put on park again and retrieved on the polycom simply by dialing the corresponding park code ie 601.

Hi Derrick, they only have 4 lines which means they can identify the specific line that they're using with the Polycom where they are looking at overriding the line from an SBX phone also in the board room.

I can also try the call park feature in case there's really no way with the line override.

Thanks.
Sonny

You can turn automatic privacy for co lines off...it is on by default. If the SBX phone has a line key then with privacy turned off the phone grab the busy line.

Instructions on page 1-34 program and op guide for SBX f3.5

Thanks for the great help Derrick. Turned off the privacy only on the manager's phone and he was so happy after we tested it.

Thanks again and Happy New Year!
Sonny
