I've been running a Comdial Impact G0408 for about 10 years now, I'm the second owner, very happy with it. It's been awhile since I first programmed it and I'm very rusty.

I have two lines, line1 and line2, they work fine. I just added a third line as a 'hotline' for special clients to reach priority staff at extensions 10 & 11. When that line rings in light blinks for that extension on all phones and we hear the phone system relays clicking but the phones won't ring (any of them). If we pick up the handset it doesn't switch to that line, but we can press the button to answer it, I'm good with that.

I'm glad all phones can manually grab the 'hotline' for incoming or outgoing calls but I really need extensions 10 & 11 (only those) to actually go ringy-dingy.

I have established my serial link with the phone system and spent about an hour and a half trying to figure this out but I'm coming up short. I usually do ok with phone systems but I guess 10 years makes a difference. I sure could use a nudge on this. Could someone throw me some tips?

Respectfully,
Ryan

Look under flexible ringing assignments. Probably easier to just download the program manual and do the changes through a telephone.

First, congratulations are in order for making your serial connection. If you're in programming, the main screen first three entries say system, lines, stations. Go to stations and you'll see an entry for ringing. This is where you'll assign another line to ring. You can back out to main menu then open system, cos printout, station. Print to screen and see all programming for station! Or you can download the manual!
