When I call the number on the CTX28, the system rings normally and even shows the caller id. If the caller hangs up, the CTX28 stops ring briefly, but then rings again without the caller id a couple of times. Why does the CTX28 start back up ringing and how can I stop it?

That's a new one to me.
Does it do it if you re-initialize the system and leave everything in default?
Try turning off the Caller ID for the PSTN trunks and see if it does it.
What happens if you have a test butt connected across the PSTN lines does that do the same thing?

I have tried two out of the three. When I turn off caller id, the CTX28 rings normally and stops normally. When I plug in a standard phone, it rings normally and stops normally. I have not tried re-initializing the system.

Re-initializing the system did not help either. I had the same problem. Do you think upgrading the system would help? I have version AR2.22 MH231.01.
