I have a customer with a Comdial DX80 phone system who wants me to put an external ringer on one of the digital stations. Since the phones don't have a single line aux ports my thought was to wire a ringer to a single line port and have it call cover the digital station. My hang up is that I do not see a feature code for the call cover feature. Does anyone know if this system is capable of such a feature? Thank you.

I don't think that you'll be able to do that. Although this is a cheesy work around, it was designed specifically for your application: Viking's Solution

You could put the digital station and the analog port in a UCD group and use the ring all option.

Hmm. It's a Comdial. Remember ext 17 on an Executech? How about LBC? I only have one DX-80 in my customer base and it's too cold to fire up the spare, but you might have a chance to assign an extension hunt group (740-755 with 740 probably already assigned) to your extension and adding 779 (LBC) to the group.
You would then access both the extension and loud bell with the 74x/75x code.

I can see that the UCD could work but... wouldn't the incoming caller have to call the UCD pilot number and not the digital station number. If so I don't think they are going to want to do that. He has given his current extension out to several external people to use as DDS through the 247 auto attendant. Any other strange work arounds?

Internally it would work fine. You just program the slot to dial the 74x code. Perhaps a call forward of his extension to the 74x code and give him another internal extension might work.

Does the system have any analog ports? Could you simply set one of them up as a Ring Monitor for the digital station?
