Can mobile messaging work with gmail? if so port 25 smtp? Thanks for any help

It will work with any SMTP mail service. You need to check with Gmail to find out if port 25 will work. Most have gone to some sort of authentication so the port won't be 25.

Do you know if it's possible to ping from 50L ... Maybe through serial console connection with hyper terminal ?

No. I don't think ESI engineering can do that. But, if you take a laptop or tablet and connect to the network cable that is connected into the ASC module, you can ping the network.
