My background is in computers so I apologize for my ignorance in advance. Got a voip scenario where 21 active healthy phones + SLTs, etc. Everything is good. However, when trying to add phone #22, the phone will not be fully functional - the LED screen will display softkeys but will not function otherwise, no dial-tone.

The problem doesn't seem to be related to the hardware. Among various phones, whichever phone is plugged in last is the affected phone. Doesn't seem to be IP address conflict either. There are 24ports that should be available - the port we are attempting to use is already programmed as an extension according to icon-vn progmr.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Because the affected phone is the last plugged in, my guess is you don't have a license for the phone you want to add. You may have enough virtual ports programmed, but they may not be licensed.

You can check license status in the programmer.

Thanks for the reply JBean3329. It seems you were right on with that analysis. I checked the license count (didn't locate a "status" option) and it indicated that 21 IPKT licenses were installed. That correlates with our issue. Much appreciated!
