I'm usually not stumped but this has me scratching my head.

MICS about 90 phones, PRI Telepacific

866 toll free calls were ringing on reception, ext. 200 just fine but they wanted just that one toll free number to also ring downstairs.

I had Telepacific point it to a know good target number 714-451-xxxx, line 168.

I programmed line 168 to ring at reception, ext. 200, with two ringing appearances, not actual buttons.

Extension 200 rings just fine on the 866 calls.

I programmed line 168 to ring at downstairs, ext. 272, with two appearances including ringing, actual buttons that show up with F*0 but 272 would not ring.

I did the same for a third extension downstairs and it would not ring.

They are going to power down the system and see if it works on restart, but I've done this dozens of times and it works.

The only other thing I can think of is to point line 168 at a hunt group and put 200 and 272 in the hunt group.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Bracha

what you're doing is correct. If line 168 was private to 200, I believe you wouldn't be able to assign it at all to the other extensions.

I would also try the hunt group setup.

Bunny: 800 numbers usually ring in on a local number. So I am not sure why you had to change how it came in.

Can you verify that the 800 number is ringing in on line 168?
Maybe it is ringing in on a different line number and that is why 168 is not ringing on 272 ????
Just saying: Double check the programming info.

For example: Maybe it is really 186 and the prime is x200. It would ring on 200 but not 272.
Just saying double check.

Does it flash on the appearance at least?

It was ringing in on the DID for the main number (BTN)(157 I think)

I had Telepacific point it to the 4 digit DID for 168 and it rang on the receptionist as before (ext. 200) but would not ring on two phones where I had put it on buttons for ring and appear.

It did not ring or flash on the other two phones downstairs.

I wasn't upstairs to see it flash, I think all lines just ring not appear there.

Thanks all, I'm pretty decent at MICS, but this just has me scratching my butt.
