Hi everyone, a little query for anyone out there who uses OAI.

I'm upgrading a phone system from AXXESS V5.something) to the lastest CS5000 which is running V09.30.

I wrote an OAI application for the original AXXESS that I'm trying to port to the newer version but _DF deflecting doesn't seem to work properly for deflecting a hunt group to a trunk.

It listens out for the "QU" command where an external call is placed in a particular hunt group. When I match the command and hunt group I want to automatically deflect it to an outside trunk.

Recv:
005,QU,,0003,12X01,2000,90601,,01615440226,|EXTERNAL|,710310,E,2000,,1,,C,23

Send:
_DF,2,2000,12X01,920207712443311#,

(So as an example, this would forward the call ringing on hunt group 2000 to a mobile phone through the CO trunk '9202'.)

Recv:
006,CF,_DF,2,6

After sending the command I receive the confirmation with an outcome of 6 which is "Invalid_Forwarding_Destination".

The code still works for forwarding if I replace the trunk group with a voicemail application or another phone, I just can't seem to get trunk access any more on the latest version of this PBX.

As a side note, if I dial '920207712443311#' from a phone extension it works as expected.

Thank you for your time.

Ah haaa! smile

After reading the fine print I found something which said that I needed to set the <Station_For_Toll_Restrict> in the command.

Quote
Station_For_Toll_Restrict

Indicates the station extension (keyset or single-line) to use for toll restrictions (if other than <Affected_Ext>). Some feature codes and extensions resolve to different devices depending on which device dials the number. The station extension specified in this field is used when determining if the call should be routed to a specified destination. This station extension is also the device used to resolve the digit string in <Destination_Dev> to an actual destination. This parameter is optional.

NOTE: This field is required for deflecting calls from a hunt group or trunk to an outside number.
If anyone is interested, it now looks like;

_DF,2,2000,12X01,920207712443311#,,1000

Where 1000 is the extension to use for toll restriction.

Paul,
You look like you have GOOD experience with OAI programming. I am just starting out doing some socket programming and using the Sys OAI v6 kit. I am curious... what tool do you use? VB, C++, Java, VB, Delphi?
BTW, do you have any CCS SDK documentation? I have the CCS SDK manual but Mitel has left out ANY info on how to use the Callviewer OCX control (which they give us free with our CCS server. They want me to join MSA to get it. NOT!
Do you have any info on the OCX component usage?

Thanks,

Mike
