Apologies in advance for being very green user. After what we believe to be a power outage over the weekend the phone system at our office seemed to be missing some programming. Line 3 was set as last No. and Last No. Says "Page Choice". I have been able to re-add a 3rd line and name all of the extensions. I am however still having an issue with the phones selecting open lines when a user picks up the receiver.
Our system has 3 lines. We have the phones set to use line 3 when a receiver is picked up. When line 3 is in use and a handset is lifted "No Line Selected" is on the display of our Phones (M7208). Can someone please let me know how to program the phones to automatically pull line 2 then one when the before mentioned lines are in use? All I could do is assign line 3 as the Prime Line.
Re-Programming the Last No. button would also be nice to accomplish if one of you guys were willing to point me in the right direction.
Thank you,
-Ray

If your Capacitors are bad or very weak, you will lose your programming when power is lost(bad) or when power is out for a couple of days(weak). You need to get that capacitor replaced. You need to find a local tech to re-program the system. There are many things that are basic that need to be programmed. If you absolutely cannot find a local tech, contact me through my profile. I might be able to give your remote support.

Program your three lines into Pool A and then assign the prime line to Pool A. Line three is busy, going off-hook will grab line two.
May want to look at the above capacitor replacement or installing a UPS on the system. The 616 was replaced by the CICS in 1995-96 if memory serves,, you're dealing with a 20 year old system. Might want to look at an upgrade. Norstars also don't like brown outs. Saw new systems back in the day default after a brown out but able to survive a total black out. They are quick to reprogram though.
