I've been asked about equipment to use for training young grade school children on using a telephone to call 911. My contact at the police dept. and I understand there are lots of cell phones being used in these situations, but they do want to set up some training for good old fashioned land lines.
I looked at the Viking DLE-300. It has a 911 Training mode. Is there anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks for your input. Jim

I have a hazy memory of a Bell System gentleman coming to my 5th or 6th grade elementary school class to teach us how to use the telephone.
He connected two 565s to a box of some kind. The two phones pulled dialtone, could ring and the two users could talk to each other using this simulator which was likely made by Western Electric.

How about a partner ACS ,small Panasonic ,or any other system that allows SLTs . you could also see if you could find a 911 dispatcher to answer the call
