Hi there. Does anyone know if the CS5000 supports SMDR buffering? The AXXESS system that we're upgrading from support SMDR buffering which is useful if the software we use to connect goes down, even if it's only 100 lines. I can't seem to find anything on it. I asked the engineer who fitted the system and he made a few calls but couldn't find anything on it. I was hoping someone here might be able to help. Thank you kindly

I beleive that you can buffer with a VPU but that is the only way. BVM nor EM support that.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find out anything more about buffering. I'm not clued up on the acronyms though, VPU is the voice processing unit but what is the BVM / EM? Google thinks BVM is the blessed virgin Mary but I think it may be mistaken

BVM=Basic Voice Mail which is the built in vm on the 5000 EM=Enterprise Messaging which is the current vm platform for Axxess and 5000
