I had a working Mitel 5324 phone on an Inter-Tel 5000/Mitel MiVoice250. I unplugged it for a move. Upon powering it up again, it displays "Use Superkey to send PIN". The extension was not setup to use a PIN. The MAC address was programmed into the extension. I have tried recreating the extension with/without the PIN requirement. The phone will not register with the phone system. I cannot find anything within the programming of the phone itself to shut of the PIN requirement. All similar phone are set to MINET mode and are working fine. Any ideas?

In the extension is the MAC address registered? Navigate to system/devices and feature codes/phones chose the phone then go into IP Settings/network Configuration. You should see 08:00:0f:??:??:?? where the ?? are the last HEX values of the phone. You can enter them there. I hope I am understanding your issue correctly. Also under system/phone-related information what are the codes for PIN registration and PIN Replacement. You could try the PIN replacement code to steal the MAC back to that phone. Let me know if this helps. Good Luck!

The MAC address was programmed into the system before I unplugged the phone to be moved. For troubleshooting purposes, I deleted the extension and tried recreating it to require the PIN. It still didn't work. It is currently programmed with the MAC address.
I've also tried changing the codes to perform the registration and replace. No good.

Try making the MAC 08:00:0F:FF:FF:FF in database programming. Enable PIN Registration. Hopefully the phone will go back to requesting PIN. Try both the PIN registration and the PIN Replacement.

Actually, I would rather it not require a PIN. We've never used them.
