Our system is Inter-Tel Axxess 5000. We have Unified Messaging that we use for everyone in the office. From time to time (not often) a fax comes through that we cannot open. The message is:
Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer.
Our faxes come through as Tiff file extensions. Photo Viewer is the default program to open those, usually with no issues. But every so often one comes in with this error. We have run scans on our system to be sure there are no bugs, we do test faxes and they come through just fine, etc.. so I am thinking it is just a fax that comes through that our system can't convert or read? Windows Photo Viewer does not have any updates to be had so that isn't the problem either.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I would be grateful. We have tried to change the default program to open the bad fax but to no avail. Nothing works, it said it is corrupt, which leads me back to my initial inclination that it just couldn't read it or convert it.
