Ext 850 is likely a distributed hunt group, which would mean that every time you call it, a different voicemail port is connected. I suspect that something may be setup wrong.
It doesn't make sense to me that when you call the same hunt group from different extensions you get a different result. Can you call the same number multiple times from the same extension and see if you get a different result each time.

Program 03 = 00=93,11=61,12=61,13=61,14=31,15=17,16=43,21=27,22=17,23=31 Program 10-1= 1,7,8,9,18,19,20 Program 10-2= 2,4,14,15,16 Program 10-3= 11,13 Program 13=040 Program 30= 000*039#1,5,7 Program 31= 000*039#1,10,12 & 040*047#4,5,9,10,15,16,17,18,19,20 Program *32= 000*039#040 Program 33= 040#047 Program 35= 000*039#1,2,4,16 My results are I can dial Int.240-247 on any phone and get VM If I dial Int.850 I get: From Ext. 200 I get Ext.850 Vacant From Ext. 201 & 202 I get Talk to 241 (every time the same) From Ext. 205 I get Talk to 247 (every time the same) From Ext. 203,204,206,207 I get Ext.850 Vacant Just tried Ext. that gave me 850 Vacant by dialing Int.240 and get VM; hang up and dial Int. 850 it gives me the VM port I was just on (240). If I first dial a different VM port and then Int. 850 it gives the port I was just on. The Ext. 850 Vacant messages have disappeared. What is going on??? Thanks, Lyle

Since you are looking at programing, how about looking Program *40, hunt group port number 900 and see what ports are in the hunt group.

On a PM I was told to put into Program *4 = 900# and if returns a 850 that I should be able to Program *40. When I go into *40 it won't let me put anything into it.

Have you found in the manual for the programing procedure? Some of the older DK280 manuals may not have Prg *40 in them because as I understand this was not a feature in the older DK software.
In Prg *40 Spkr 900 01 you should be able to view, or add the first port number in that hunt group.

My programing manual does not show *04 or *40. Is it the same for DK 424 ? That manual shows them. When I go into *40 I get an = sign but it won't let me put any numbers in. Is there something in programing that could cause this? I believe this has revision 3 upgrade. I have the paperwork and old chips. Thanks, Lyle
