Hi guys,
I currently have iES installed in cix100. mailbox 501 is set up to put caller on hold.

but i keep getting system hold recording "your call is very important to us, please continue to hold"
does anyone know what's wrong?

The Toshiba guru that taught me how to program an iES some several years ago would almost always have a message mailbox bounce of another voicemail box. At the time I did not understand why, but always did it that way for many years.

Eventually I figured out the issue; when you have the RNA set to record, but the voicemail box is set to not store messages, the Stratagy would either immediately follow the chain done or bounce to the main greeting instead of playing the recorded greeting.

The solution I used was to turn on DND, set VMID to another new voicemail box and set the other voicemail RNA to transfer to the message mailbox.

The other solution is to set RNA to Auto Attendant, but then this activates the Instructional greeting, which by default says "If you know your party's extension you can dial it at any time."

This was the first part of your issue, the message greeting not playing. The second part, the system message, is removed by unchecking the 'Please Hold' box in the next mailbox, as defined in the Chain Done.
