Good morning! I am having some issues with our NEC SV8100, spent some time troubleshooting with our NEC techs over the phone yesterday with no resolution.
I performed a simple "swap set" yesterday to move a user from an older 6 button phone to a newer handset. After successful "swap" both handsets now have a very loud audible "tone" that starts whenever the user dials "9" and the first digit of the phone number they are calling. It continues through the entire call.
1. The person on the outside line cannot hear the tone
2. On internal calls, from extension to extension, only the recipient hears this tone and not the caller.
3. When I call forward my desk phone to my cell phone, there is no tone sound.
Any advice or help would be much appreciated!
