I ordered a replacement card and CF for the system which arrived today. I plan on reading manuals to prepare myself for the replacing of the card and flash but I really could use help to streamline the process and answer any questions - I am happy to pay for support to help walk me through the process.

make sure you have cosessions and puTTy loaded on your lap top. You will need both to communicate with the new card. The default IP address and log in information should be noted in the manual.

If This is the (LX) it would have an RJ45 jack on the Card to connect to your Network. You'll still need Putty, Cosessions would be needed if it is a Older VMP or VMS. With the LX, it would program like the UM8000.

If it's not late I would see about replacing the LX with the InMail, much more user friendly.
