We have inherited a customer with an Nec neax 2400 and digital term I series phones. They had someone setup previously when a specific phone 9755 gets a call it also rings other phones in the department. There is not hunt groups as I can see. Is there such a thing as Call coverage? No key programmed for it.
This system.has a PRI
Using Mat Works to program.

A few things do not sound right. First, we almost never use extension numbers that begin with 9. 9 is used to dial out. Second, MatWorX is used on the NEAX 2000/IVS2/IPS system and not on the 2400. As far as call coverage goes, just place extension 9755 on a button on every phone that needs to answer it. Or, create a virtual extension and place that on a button on every phone that need to answer it.

I am sorry, I almost always verify the info before I post but didn't this time, I relied on what was told to me.

It is actually an NEC NEAX 2000 IPS with an NEAX Mail AD64 voicemail.

The extensions do start with 9, 8 is used as outgoing. All of the phones in this department ring when extension 9755 receives a call, the phones do have a Station Line key for 9755, I have tried to remove the Station Line key for 9755 but the phones still ring when a call is placed to 9755.

Use the MatWorx to search on hunt groups/UCD groups. Also check call forwarding. We usually do a coverage situation by creating several virtual extensions, then do a CF busy from one to the other and a CF B/NA of the last one to VM. All of the VE's are placed on buttons on the coverage phones. Check to see if the extension was placed on a button that does not physically exist. EX: button 17 on a 16 button set.

I did check hunt groups and UCD but could not find any in the system. Where would I check the system forwarding in MatWorx? I did not see anything in the station programming.

Is there a way to review the button programming at the phone?

I am assuming I could dial #1, #2 and #8 at the phone to cancel any manual call forwarding.

Check programs 16x, 17x and 18x

Could also just be a button ringing on a phone in CM9000 & 9001

Cfd is in CME600 through CM E603
