Alright already! I am not that old, just have a lot of experience with 1A2 around here with so many government agencies! Had to learn this stuff through the school of hard knocks!

My ACS R7 Customer uses RCF all day long, and often has a line get "frozen". The RCF Transfer is performed manually by a user to an extension programmed for RCF and a CF button (F11-x14-80). It works fine on all lines.....RCF completes and disconnects, and all lines go idle. But every once in a while, a completed call does not release, and the line stays "off-hook", and only a reset command, or re-boot wiil clear the line. I have tested the disconnect supervision, in and out, on all 6 lines OK. But, dang, every once in a while, the Partner will not release the call.
You mentioned a known Avaya Partner R7 problem of not releasing line trunks, and, an Avaya Patch. Can you tell me if the Patch works and where/how I can get one.
Large Thanks, Techroy, NJ

Ha! That post was from '05. I doubt you are going to find anyone who still has it. I don't think there was any patch anyway, just an upgrade to R8. I never sold an R7 because it had so many problems. I've never heard of this line release problem but it comes as no surprise the R7 did it along with a bunch of other things.
If you want to see if this is your problem just replace the processor with an R8.
However how do you explain the same problem with that R6 back in the other thread?

I'm sure an R8 software upgrade will take care of some issues with the R7 but I wonder how much were hardware issues that only could be resolved by throwing the thing in a dumpster?
