My front desk phone: when you pick up the handset connects straight to the main office station 100 intercom instead of an open phone line like it should. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks John

Someone inadvertently programmed the feature: Ring Down / Hot Line / Off Hook Preference. Just dial the feature code 691-00 without lifting the handset.

another question is there a code to make it go straight to dial tone?

You need a pool button and then dial 691 plus the number of the button say 20. 691 plus any button number causes the phone to choose that button when it goes off hook.

You might program button preference in station programming and then set it so the user cannot change it. This will eliminate future issues.
