First off, has anyone else had trouble connecting to a DSX using Windows 10. I've had this issue for a while but got around it by using an old XP laptop. That's now died and I'm not fixing it. The second has to do with SIP trunks from Time Warner. I have a customer who cannot make international calls. When they try, they get the old "your number cannot be completed as dialed" . Maybe TW isn't seeing all the digits. While I am not on site yet, I know of no restrictions on the DSX. When they had loop start lines, international calls were not a problem and I didn't add any when the SIP trunks were installed.

Only version 3 is 64 bit compatible. Use the latest version of the maintenance program. Also, you need to disable WIN drivers signature to load the drivers. The drivers need to be loaded separately. Previously they loaded automatically. Contact TWC to allow international calling.

This DSX does have the last version of software available, and I have used the most recent maintenance program. I'll check the driver issue as you suggested. As for the international calling, TW is already pointing the finger at the DSX which perplexes me since there is no restriction and the onlY thing between the DSX and TWs equipment is a patch cord. In other words, here we go again.

Interesting note per necdsx.com. The USB connection is no longer vaild with windows 10 either 32 or 64 bit, so it looks like only phone programming is vailable to me at this site.

I think it's unacceptable to have a currently active phone system product (DSX) and then not support current PC technology. I keep several old beater laptops running XP so I can administrate some of these systems.

Can't you just connect with the ethernet port?

No, Ethernet port is used for TW voice gatewAy. Resolution....must upgrade software to 3.45.02 to resolve international calling. Must remove dsx from gatewAy and put on local lan to do upgrade per NTAC. Nothing is ever straight forward.....

DSX is far from an active system. It has been discontinued for some time.
You can run a virtual machine with xp and will work fine. I use virtualbox of I have to connect via USB.

That's true you can except for one thing. To upgrade the software, you must use an Ethernet connection, usb will not work. The software I upgraded requires a download from and ftp server. This story has a happy ending. I did upgrade the software as described above, then put the DSX back on TWs gateway. No issues, everything went great. Problem was solved.

Why not use CF card for software update? I can't find original post dated few years back, but I once had a problem with voip board and someone suggested that the only way to get it properly updated is by CF card.
