Customer has qty 4 existing m7316e's program just fine. He had ordered 4 more phones appear to be t7316e however system thinks they are 10 button phones.. There for i can not make programing uniform between all 8 phones. Ive programed and copied system and user data to all extensions still no dice.. are these aftermarket phones? or the truth? am i stupid? thank you in advance [email protected]

No such thing as "M7316e" phones. Either T7316e's, T7316's, or M7310's.
Depending on what you're trying to copy, it may or may not be possible.

yes my bad T7316e.
the new ones physically appear to be same if i try to program extension of a new phone it thinks it is a m7310 it tells me this when go to manual button programing on actual extension.
tells me t7316e on original phones but not on new..

if i tell it a line 1 to appear and ring on orignal phones it appears on top left
if i tell a new phone same thins it appears 4th down on left on new phone
am i missing a setting?

What version software? I think you need a newer version in order for the T7316e's to be recognized as such.

will have to wait to check software version. not in front of it ATM
but why would it recognize 4 existing as t7316e's but not new ones?

Look for the buttons under the Volume Rocker button. If you have THREE buttons, it is a T7316e phone. If you have TWO buttons, it is a T7316 Phone. NO e
The NO-e phone only the bottom 5 buttons on each side can be programmed with line buttons.
Also if you have software less than 6.1 the "e" phones will also act like a M7310 phone - only the 5 bottom on each side can have line buttons. It will program like a M7310 phone.
You seem to say that the original phones you can program ok then you probably have 6.1 or 7.x version software. Which is OK.
Check for how many little buttons below the Volume rocker switch. If someone ORDERED a "e" phone it sounds like they sent you a "no-e" phone.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?
