I have a customer with an Aspire M. Under the current setup, a call will ring a desktop, if no answer forward to a cordless DECT phone, if no answer, leave a message in the DECT phone mailbox, then auto forward back to the desktop mailbox. Works like a champ. Can I do this with an Inmail or do I need a UM8000. I'm thinking I can do it with an Inmail although the documentation says otherwise. I just have to go about it another way. I write this because I am proposing a 9100 to replace the Aspire and am trying to keep the price down.

You are over thinking this. Ring the desktop create a call coverage key on the wireless that does a delay ring then the call will just go to the mb on the desktop. You can also put a VM key on the wireless to cover the desktop. You could also ring teh desktop cfna to dect cf/na vm on the DECT then it goes into the desktop vm. Inmail does all that because it always looks at the first ext or number that it rings for destination.

I suppose I should elaborate on the new setup. I am installing Engenius phones off of analog ports on a 9100. I hear what you're saying about the DECT phones , but this is a different setup. The reason for the Engenius phones is there were coverage issues in the warehouse, specifically the coolers and with durability of the phones themselves.

Do you need to leave a message on both phones of just the desktop?

Ring desktop CFNA to wireless CFNA/busy VM. Will end up in desktop VM.
