Hello,

I am looking for some help -
I got a used IPC card to replace a bad one in my system. It was modified from the factory defaults.
I can see the IP address but cannot change anything. my local support company was aquired by idiots so I am on an island so to speak on support.
is there firmware for this card that differs from the IPRC card? I have the CD for 9.115 but the firmware on it only has the IPRC file.

Thanks for your help,
John

Thanks,
John

The IPC is different than the IPRC. Different firmware, different everything. If I remember right, IPC support was dropped when 8.0 was released, so it couldn't have been working for you on a 9.115 system?

Are you sure you didn't use to have an IPRC that went bad and got an IPC (ie. the older one) by mistake? The IPC was current when it was 5.3 code on the PBX, and v1.x on the IPC card.

I am pretty sure you can still use an IPC card so long as it is programmed as a DKSC16 not IPRC.

when you say you cant change anything what do you mean it doesnt allow you or there are no options?

Thanks guys -

the failed IPC was from the 5.xx era and the card I had was a 1.xx - I think you are right the firmware is different between IPC and IPRC cards.

it does need to be set as a digital keyset card to work and you can only use ports 1-8.

FYI -
the card password if set to other than the defaults cannot be recovered w/o sending to the factory.
a real bummer.....

Thanks

Thanks,
John
