I have a cust with an Inter-Tel 5000 with 3 years left on the lease, so they are not anxious to change out the system until then. This cust's new parent company is an Avaya shop and wants to see what can be done to network the Inter-Tel to an Avaya 8700 and/or an IPO.
Has anybody done this before? Any suggestions?

I've been told they cannot be connected because Inter-Tel does not support QSIG. This allows PBXs of different manufacturers to communicate. I don't believe they've even set the Mitel PBXs (the parent company Inter-Tel) to communicate with them.
