I have Phantom DN on all phones to look like virtual line for sip lines. is there any way to avoid dialing 9 to dial out for those lines, so they are just like physical lines?

If line appearances are a must have feature for the users, you can use GCO keys to simulate line appearances. I try to avoid them except for small, basic systems.

You need to look at the system maximum capacity in the general description. For example, on a CIX 100 you can have 64 GCO keys system wide on all phones. If you installed 6 virtual lines on 11 phones, you just went over your maximum with 66 GCO keys.

You won't get any warning when you go over capacity and it may appear to be working good, but when the system gets busy you may start seeing some odd problems, like calls that disappear off the line, or lines that don't appear for some phone phones, but work for others.

I have solved problems on several systems by making the customer use park and transfer instead of virtual lines. Some people may be a little hesitant to try something new, but most users will adapt pretty quickly.

The downside is that users will need to dial 9, but if they complain too much I just create a one-tough key that will dial 9 for them, and I label the button as "Outgoing".
