Have been a member of this group for several years, with many thank yous for the help received. In my area I service maybe 50 mom and pop business. They have no need or want for a IP, hosted or cloud system (because I service them quickly and a good rate ) ha ha. These systems, Partner ACS or Vodavi STS have functioned very, very well. But the time is coming they may need replaced. I do not like the newer vertical lay out, board on top of board, rather then the slide out style. Is there another new key system ksu that I should look at to sell and service. So far these customers are happy, the cost of warranty refurb parts, to them is a better choice than a new system, but I want to look ahead. Any direction, thanks already. Merry CHRISTmas. Gary S

Gary, I'm in the same position. I'm looking at the Panasonic 826. So far I like what I see. Still in production and a good system, simple also.
Merry Christmas

TransTel has some great choices for small systems. Lynx starts at 3x4x4 and can expand 3x8 more Lynx II starts at 3x8 and can expand with either 8 digital or 8 set ports plus 3 more co ports. Both of these have built in AA and VM G1E starts at 4x8x4 and can expand to 8x24 Then you get into the TDS systems 40 or 80 port cabinets that expand upto 1280 ports The same phones work on all system to help reduce inventory. I have looked at the Panasonic 826 on their web site, but can't tell if the cards are stacked on top of each other, or like the partner acs and vodavi sts where the cards slide in and out separately. Thanks gary s.

I'm a Panasonic dealer and never heard of the 826, I think you mean the 824. I personally can't stand the system, but I guess if you keep it real simple it's OK. Around here alarm companies and audio video guys install them. I heard Panasonic is going to discontinue the 824 since they recently made the KX-TDA50G model open to the public. So if you're thinking Panasonic, head for the TDA50G. Both the 824 and TDA50G has a stacked card design.
The ESI 50L is nice for small systems. It has a built in voicemail, easy to use. This system has a stacked card design also. ESI's 200 and 1000 have a slide in card design, those system are for larger installs.

Odd how Panasonic has different models for different countries. In Canada, we never had access to the TDA50, but rather had a TDA30. Looking at pictures and specs, they appeared pretty much the same.
Can you still get the TDA50 in the US? Here, the whole TDA/TDE platform has been discontinued and we only have the NS700 and NS1000.
