I am about to purchase a new phone system. I have narrowed this down to 2 options. Avaya IP office or Mitel MiVoice. Any one have any thoughts on which is better.

Agree with hbiss. You also need to tell your potential installation company what your specific needs are and make sure your system can meet them. What is your business size and do you foresee your company growing? IP Office can grow pretty large, will the Mitel if you need to?

I don't know how your area is but there's about a dozen Avaya dealers in Maine and maybe one Mitel. Find a good dealer/support in your area and use what they sell.

You need to confirm first what all features you need. Moreover, the service provider should be good so at least in times of assistance you can get the all help you need.
