Stewart Member Joined: May 2007 Posts: 42 Atlanta GA	Hello, I have a customer who needs to add some cr-card & modems to their system, there are no available ports on the SLC16+, so i was going to install a SLC16, but I noticed the existing SLC16+ is powered by an external power supply through the front of the 16+, The SLC16 does not have any place to plug in an external power supply, Is there another part I need or does the cabinet supply the power through the back plane of the cabinet? Only the SLC8 does not require an external power supply. The older SLC16 without the 4-pin molex still requires the 48 & 72 volts. Instead of the plug on the front bezel like newer 16's, you have to backfeed it throught the tail on y/gr & y/sl. 60% of the time it works every time

Tellink Member Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 145 Seattle	There are two different power supplies for the SLC16. One is for a single SLC16 and the other will power up to 4 SLC16's. If yours has multiple power leads, you're in business. If not, you'll need another SLC16 power supply. PN 550.0114. (The quad P/S is 550.0116.) Ain't technology wonderful? Nothing like being on the bleeding edge.
