Another in my ojt education of the 9100. Installed a couple of MLC apps. That went good until the the last one threw a message saying 'system ports exhausted'. So, somewhere I've unknowingly used up an extra port or two.
I know how many I should have. Can see it in the Feature Activation screen. I've added up MLT, SLT, IP phones, MLC extensions, and CO trunks, and still come up 2 short of what I should have. Is there anywhere to see the MLC's activated, in case I duplicated one?
Thank you. Jim

Look in you licenses I believe 5103. Verify that number in 10-XX where you put the VOIP licenses.

5103 is the voip licenses, which I have plenty of, and it matches with 10-54.
My error message said "system ports exhausted" which is in 0300. I would bet that I activated an MLC more than once, if that's possible. :-(

We had similar issues with one of our customers and MLC licenses. Those licenses are controlled by NEC. When you register an MLC, it goes out to the NEC site to grab a license. The only way to see how many are used and the only way to release them is with a request from NEC. They have a form on their NTAC site to do it. They claim that eventually control will be released to associates, but that has not happened yet.

According to NEC:
Extension Ports – TDM, SIP and Mobile Extension. Trunk Ports – TDM, SIP, CCIS. 64 Ports are enabled on every SV9100 by default. Note: Licenses are NOT required for Voicemail Extension Ports, Virtual Extensions Ports or Virtual Loopback Ports.

I haven't heard of any SV9100 with any ports until you load the licenses.

I haven't heard of any SV9100 with any ports until you load the licenses. You get 4 IP terminal and 4 SIP trunk licenses out of the box and the basic system gives you a port capacity of 64 ports without having to buy additional port capacity licensing. I agree that the 9100 licensing system can be very confusing especially when adding the likes of SIP trunks when over the 64 port capacity.

My system, as ordered, should have enough ports for everything I ordered. In the Feature Activation page, among other stuff, it says: 0300 - System feature License - System Port - 52 - Expiry Never.
When I add up my CO lines + MLT + SLT + IP sets + MLC users, I get 52. This matches the 0300 license quantity.
With support and NEC's help, we found there were two cell phones that had two MLC activations. This caused me to not be able to activate all of my cell phones that should be activated. NEC cleared these, but I was able to activate only one more MLC before getting the "System ports exhausted" message.
I went thru the process again, and they cleared another duplicate. I reloaded the MLC fine. Went to the next phone and got the error message again. And there is still one more o do after that.
I hate calling in again, but I guess that's the only way.
Jim
