Hi all,

If I am not mistaken, I can transfer a call directly to a VMID by prefixing it with #407, bypassing the extension preventing the phone from ringing...

...BUT, is there a better way to dial into another (not associated with my extension) VMID for message retrieval/management?

We have a "general" mailbox where we are letting multiple people dial in and check the messages.

The current process is:

  • Dial 250
    • The system dials into the VMID associated with my extension
    • Prompts me to enter my security code.
  • I press *
    • After a 2-3 second pause, I get "That security code is invalid. Enter your user ID. Finish by pressing #"
  • From there, I enter user ID, #, security code, #, and I am in.

Is there a code I can dial to skip the red text (having to press * and waiting 2-3 seconds)...just dial directly into the other VMID, bypassing mine? #407 200 does not work?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

CTB

Press the # key first.
Dial 250. Press # then *, then the other extension number #.
