Hi Can I upgrade an MP40 that's running software '08 08 20 v4.21c using the IT Tool up to a relevant level now. I know that you can only go so far on the 7200's because of the memory card and the change to MP20 from MCP, but I haven't upgraded a 7400 from so far back. Or will I need a newer MP40?
Thanks

The OS7200 upgrade is due to the MCP card being superceded by the MP20 and samsung discontinuing support for it.
The OS7400 is going to depend on your media card. If you have the old SM style (Thin carboard) then no. If it's a black MMC+ then you can.
However you may need to upgrade the bootrom to 1.02 (you'll have to look on the 2 chips in the sockets on the MP40 to see what version they are).
You'll also need to goto 4.46 via ITool first then goto the latest version (we're about to get 5.01 here)
